Evaluation of pore distribution in non-woven fabric sheets

Important analysis items for performance evaluation and quality control of functional materials! Evaluation of pore size and pore distribution of non-woven sheets and membrane materials.

This is an example of evaluating the maximum pore diameter and pore size distribution of non-woven fabric sheets using the bubble point method. The sample is immersed in a chemical solution and air pressure is applied. The pressure is increased until it overcomes the surface tension of the chemical solution absorbed in the sheet, resulting in the appearance of bubbles; this pressure is referred to as the bubble point. The maximum pore diameter can be calculated based on the bubble point pressure and the surface tension of the chemical solution. 【Calculation Formula】 ■d = Cy/P ・d: Maximum pore diameter ・C: Constant ・y: Surface tension of the chemical solution ・P: Differential pressure *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Stress Load Testing Machine ISL-T300 + Birefringence Distribution Evaluation Device WPA-200

Real-time observation of orientation changes during the stretching of polymer films! Quantitative evaluation is possible as an in-plane distribution.

We would like to introduce the combination of the stress loading testing machine 'ISL-T300' and the birefringence distribution evaluation device 'WPA-200'. The change in molecular orientation due to the stretching of polymer films can be optically evaluated by measuring birefringence. However, it has been difficult to evaluate birefringence while simultaneously applying tension, especially as surface distribution information. With the proposed combination of devices, it is possible to quantitatively evaluate the orientation changes as a surface distribution during the stretching process. 【Device Specifications】 <ISL-T300> ■ Maximum Load: 300N ■ Travel Distance: Up to 30mm ■ Testing Speed: 0.08 to 8mm/min ■ Chuck Spacing: 2 to 32mm ■ Sample Thickness: 1.5mm or less *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Evaluation of fiber length distribution of recycled materials

The evaluation of the residual fiber length of resin materials containing glass fibers can also be utilized for considering appropriate recycling methods!

In recycled materials containing fillers such as glass fibers, the fiber length distribution after recycling becomes an important factor. Our company is capable of analyzing the fiber length distribution of samples after recycling and grinding. We can also perform evaluations from grinding to analysis using our own grinding machines. Please feel free to contact us when you need our services. 【Features】 ■ Capture images of fibers using an optical microscope and detect each glass fiber through image analysis ■ Based on information on fiber length and quantity, distribution evaluation can be performed using histograms, etc. ■ Additionally, we can calculate the number average fiber length, length-weighted average fiber length, maximum fiber length, minimum fiber length, and more. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
